Stephen Colbert is “on assignment for a future broadcast” in Russia, a representative from CBS said. The Late Show host tweeted a photo of himself walking in St. Petersburg on Thursday in response to President Donald Trump’s latest tweet about the existence of tapes of his conversations with fired FBI Director James Comey. “Don’t worry, Mr. President. I’m in Russia,” Colbert wrote. “If the ‘tapes’ exist, I’ll bring you back a copy!” Colbert, who is on hiatus through next week, is also scheduled to make an appearance on an upcoming episode of the Russian late-night talk show Evening Urgant. That show’s host, Ivan Urgant, posted a selfie with Colbert on Instagram earlier in the day.
