Perms, pantsuits, pink and everything in between.
In 1964, a young Hillary Rodham poses with classmates at Park Ridge East High School in a demure shift, her chestnut curls neatly coiffed.

Yikes! Was she channeling Michael Jackson with the white gloves? We can’t pass too much judgment on the bright, multicolored jogging suit (it was the ‘90s, after all).

Apparently Hillary was going through a purple phase. The first lady’s 1993 inaugural, violet lace-and-mousseline garnered a huge amount of positive press for rookie designer Sarah Phillips, who was dubbed “7
th Avenue’s Cinderella.” The designer described the gown to the Los Angeles Times as “a fairy-tale sort of dress, very traditional.”
The first lady looks polished in a form-fitting turquoise blazer and flashy gold jewelry.
On a 1994 visit to Paris, Hillary accessorizes her pantsuit with a playful, black-and-white Judith Lieber minaudiere, “Socks,” named after and designed to look like the first lady’s cat.

With the Monica Lewinsky scandal ever present in the background of her husband’s presidency, Hillary maintained a smiling face.
Not usually one to dress the part, the first lady wears a traditional African skirt, accompanied by her daughter en route to meet Nelson Mandela.
At least she wasn’t afraid to get in the mood. Hillary Clinton dons a traditional Christmas sweater for the 1998 “A Night Before Christmas” reading at the White House on December 22.

At heart, she’s a specs and flowers kind of girl. Clinton arrives in Indonesia in 2011 to discuss diplomatic relations in China and North Korea.
