Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) made Attorney General Jeff Sessions “nervous” with her line of questioning during Tuesday afternoon’s Senate Intelligence hearing. Perplexed by how often Sessions claimed he could not recall details relevant to the questions at hand, Harris asked the attorney general if he had reviewed any emails, correspondence, and notes before coming in for the hearing. And then the Democratic senator asked the attorney general, in rapid-fire succession, whether he communicated with any Russian officials or businessmen during the 2016 campaign. When Sessions began to provide wishy-washy answers to each, Harris interrupted, prompting him to reply: “You let me qualify. If I don't qualify, you accuse me of lying, so I need to be correct as best as I can. I'm not able to be rushed this fast. It makes me nervous.”
