One person was killed and four others—including a Virginia Tech student—were injured in a mass shooting at a hookah bar near campus late Friday. The suspected gunman was at large for most of the day Saturday, but police announced an arrest by Saturday night. The motive for the shooting at the Melody Hookah Lounge in Blacksburg was not immediately known. “Events like this are difficult and unsettling to all of us,” Virginia Tech President Tim Sands said. There was no immediate word on motive.
