1 Dead in ATL Police Shooting Near Hotel

Gunfire broke out on Monday night at an Atlanta hotel while police were present, according to local media reports. Multiple gunshots were reportedly fired at the Aloft hotel after dozens of police officers responded to the scene, the Atlanta-Journal Constitution reported. Police confirmed there was an officer-involved shooting and a suspect was dead, but declined to provide any further details. No other officers were injured and the APD Swat team was also reportedly on the scene.
