One person was shot at a residence hall near Delaware State University campus in Dover late Monday afternoon. The victim, a male student, was taken to the hospital with no life-threatening injuries, and a spokesman said he was conscious and alert. The campus was put on lockdown for three hours before authorities determined the shooting was an isolated act of violence. Police offered no description of the shooter, who remained at large.
