10 Bodies, 11 Heads Found in Mexico

Police said they’ve discovered 10 decapitated bodies and 11 severed heads in Mexico’s southern state of Guerrero, where 43 student teachers were allegedly massacred in September. The remains were found in Chilapa de Alvarez on Tuesday, about 31 miles east of the state capital city Chilpancingo. The 10 bodies showed signs of torture, including many with their hands bound, while the 11 severed heads were unearthed in four black plastic bags in one grave, the Guerrero state prosecutor’s office said in a statement. The identity of the victims is unclear, but Mexico is still investigating the disappearance of those who went missing on Sept. 26, reportedly at the hands of corrupt police and a drug gang.
