The strongest typhoon so far this season is making its way toward Japan’s mainland after wreaking havoc on the nearby islands. Typhoon Neoguri forced 540,000 across the Okinawa Islands to evacuate on Tuesday, and cut power to 75,4000. Already, 28 people have been injured and at least 63,000 homes are without power. The wind gusts from the storm clocked in as high as 118 mph. It’s now headed for the much bigger island of Kyushu, and is expected to hit there Thursday.
