The group of Turkish nationalists held for an attack on U.S. sailors were released Thursday. The 12 could still face charges for causing insult and injury. They attacked three sailors in Istanbul on Wednesday, throwing paint, yelling “Yankee go home,” and attempting to put hoods over their heads. Their actions were caught on video, and as a result the Pentagon has said shore leave has been canceled for other sailors aboard the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Ross.
