Authorities say they believe at least 15 people are dead after a landslide buried six villages in Nepal’s mountainous northeast region early Thursday. The landslide leveled the villages in Taplejung district at night following heavy rainfall, according to government administrator Surendra Bhattarai. An additional 12 people are reportedly missing. The country is still recovering from earthquakes that devastated the region in April and May, killing more than 8,700 people.
