Eighteen people were killed and another 31 were injured Monday after a coach bus crashed into a truck and burst into flames in Germany. The collision occurred early Monday morning, when the bus rear-ended a truck at the end of a traffic jam on a highway near Muenchberg in Bavaria. Police confirmed on Monday afternoon that all 18 passengers reported missing after the crash were found dead. Forensic specialists from Germany’s federal police are being brought in to help remove and identify the bodies from the burned vehicle. Police said 31 people were also severely injured, but no details were provided on the extent of their injuries. German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who said the government's transportation minister has been sent to the scene, “speedy recovery” to all those injured and offered condolences to the victims and their families.
