As militants advance near Syrian border.

An exodus of Iraqis sparked by fighting on the Syrian border has affected hundreds of thousands of civilians. Since ISIS advanced into the city of Hit earlier this month, 180,000 were forced to flee, according to the United Nations. The successes of the fighters have raised concerns that they could reach Baghdad. On Sunday, a series of attacks in the capital claimed by ISIS left 45 dead.
