The Houston Astros were honored at the White House Monday morning after their World Series victory, but star players Carlos Correa and Carlos Beltran were nowhere to be found. Beltran told the press that his absence in Washington had nothing to do with President Trump, but did say that he was “disappointed in the government’s response to the hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico.” Correa, on the other hand, has not given the press any reason for his skipping the Trump visit. With the Astros team members behind him, Trump remarked Monday that the team’s victory after the devastation of Hurricane Harvey in Texas was a “a befitting tribute, what was really a show of world spirit and ‘Houston Strong.’”
