Two police officers in Chillicothe, Ohio have resigned after allegedly trying to rape a woman. Brandon Mather and Tad Franklin, both veterans of the force, resigned before a scheduled disciplinary hearing on Wednesday. Mather was allegedly off duty and drinking on January 17 and which point he and Franklin encountered a woman at the Chillicothe Quality Inn. They drove her to a friend's house after deciding not to investigate an alleged assault by her boyfriend, and later attempted to rape her. The two cops have been on administrative leave since the incident.
