Security forces ended terror siege after gunfight.
At least 20 people are dead after al-Shabaab militants stormed a beachfront restaurant Thursday evening in the Somali capital of Mogadishu. Security officials ended the siege early Friday after a long firefight, with special forces reportedly going room to room in pursuit of the gunmen who took refuge inside the restaurant after the slaughter. Witnesses told authorities that the assailants, allegedly affiliated with the Somali affiliate of al Qaeda, shouted “Allahu akbar” before opening fire on restaurant patrons.
