Back again for its 43rd year, the People’s Choice Awards will be broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, at 9:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday, January 18.

The 2017 People’s Choice Awards will honor the best in film, television, music, and internet entertainment from the past year. Hosted by comedian, writer, and The Soup and Community star Joel McHale, the awards show will be a fun-filled evening, with performances by Fifth Harmony and Blake Shelton, and 64 award categories, all chosen by popular vote.

Top nominees include Captain America: Civil War, which earned the most nods with 7 nominations, followed by fan-favorite TV drama Grey’s Anatomy and actor Kevin Hart with five noms each.

Other big-name nominees include James Corden, Jimmy Fallon, and Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and Conan O’Brien, all under consideration for ‘Favorite Late Night Talk Show Host,’ Suicide Squad for ‘Favorite Movie,’ and Miranda Sings for ‘Favorite YouTube Star.’

Among other excitement, Tyler Perry will be honored at the 43rd People’s Choice Awards as ‘Favorite Humanitarian.’ In a press release, the People’s Choice Awards highlighted the Tyler Perry Foundation’s donation of millions of dollars to organizations including “Feeding America, the NAACP, Charity Water, among others, all in an effort to help eradicate homelessness, support civil rights causes and aid survivors of devastating natural disasters such as the earthquake in Haiti and Hurricane Katrina.”

In addition, in honor of his award as ‘Favorite Humanitarian,’ Enterprise will be donating $100,000 to the Global Medical Relief Fund for Children.

As they are every year, the 2017 People’s Choice Awards will be one awesome, blow-out party, with surprise performances, fabulous red carpet appearances, and music, tv, and movie stars in abundance.
