The Ukrainian opposition is fed up with President Viktor Yanukovych. After last week’s anti-protest laws set off days of public demonstrations and violent clashes in Kiev, the opposition demanded that he dismiss the government and call elections within the next 24 hours. The government’s handling of the once-peaceful protests has only gotten more violent, with two reportedly killed at the hands of police. Opposition leader Vitali Klitschko called for the early elections as a means for ending the violent clashes. Said Klitschko. "You, Mr. President, have the opportunity to resolve this issue. Early elections will change the situation without bloodshed and we will do everything to achieve that."
