At least 29 foreigners and locals were killed in a storms on the Himalayas this week. On Friday, 40 trekkers were rescued by helicopter and in the days prior more than 200 were picked up after being stranded. Authorities say dozens are still missing. The area was filled with visiting hikers for peak trekking season when unexpected blizzards hit. Among the dead are Indian, Canadian, Slovakian and Nepali trekkers and guides.
