Three U.S. service members were killed at an air force base in Jordan on Friday, officials confirmed. The Americans were killed in an exchange of gunfire while approaching a Jordanian military training facility. A Jordanian soldier was also reportedly injured in the incident. According to Jordanian media, the Americans were shot when they didn’t stop at a gate in the King Feisal air base. Eric Barbee, a spokesman for the American embassy in Amman, said officials received reports of “a security incident involving U.S. personnel” and were seeking more information. Authorities in Jordan reportedly offered “full support.”
