Three people were charged in California for operating a fake police force that claimed jurisdiction in 33 states and Mexico. Called the Masonic Fraternal Police Department, it claimed to be 3,000 years old. Those taken into custody, one of whom works for the California attorney general, were charged with multiple counts of impersonating an officer along with other lesser charges. They were found in possession of ID cards, uniforms and law enforcement-style vehicles.
