Three people were killed and 12 wounded early Saturday at a shooting in a Los Angeles restaurant. Police have taken two “persons of interest” into custody but are still searching for other suspects. LAPD Sgt. Frank Preciado said there were about 50 people inside a restaurant in the West Adams district when an argument started between two separate groups. Three men left, came back with guns and began shooting at the other group, while members of that group returned fire, Preciado said. Several customers were caught in the crossfire, he said. “It’s a bloody scene with shell casings everywhere,” Preciado told the Los Angeles Times. “When we got there, there were three people dead and people running everywhere,” he said. The cause of the argument is unclear. Dozens of police and firefighters were immediately sent to the scene, and the injured are “scattered across Los Angeles hospitals,” Preciado said. Police are currently canvassing the area in search of witnesses.
