Philadelphia abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell will face five counts of murder instead of eight, now that the judge has thrown out three charges. Gosnell was charged with killing babies immediately after delivering them, as well as killing one woman through a drug overdose, but the judge has tossed three of the infant deaths. It’s not clear why, but defense lawyers had asked the charges be dismissed for lack of evidence. When police raided Gosnell’s clinic in 2010, they found such a gruesome scene that it’s been labeled a “house of horrors.”
