A 3-year-old North Carolina boy who had been missing since Tuesday was found alive Thursday night in Craven County, North Carolina, NBC News reports. Casey Hathaway was alert and able to tell authorities his name and age when he was found just after 9:30 p.m. The FBI put out the following statement: “Casey has been found alive. He was located by professional search and rescue crews off Toler and Aurora Roads. He is in good health, is talking and being evaluated by doctors at Carolina East Medical Center. He is with his family. Thank you all for helping us #FindCasey.” Hundreds of professional searchers and volunteers had been looking for the boy since he first disappeared. Casey was playing in his grandmother’s yard Tuesday with two other children but never came back inside, sparking a dramatic search operation in the area.
