London police detained four Jacksonville Jaguars players in the wee hours of Sunday morning after a supposed “nightclub brawl” involving an unpaid bar bill, according to ESPN and the U.K.-based paper The Sun. The Jaguars, in town to play the Eagles later on Sunday, were reportedly cuffed at 4 a.m. at the London Reign Showclub, a burlesque spot which describes itself as “an eclectic mix of Las Vegas and Moulin Rouge.” A source told the Sun that the players racked up £50,000 in drinks and entertainment and “some of the lads tried to leave the club but were prevented from doing so by security.” In a statement to ESPN, the Jaguars confirmed that players were detained “over restitution of a bill” but declined to name the individuals involved. This is not the first time the football team and its players have run into trouble in London: in 2013, several players were reportedly hospitalized there after a bruising fight that either involved several women and hotel security, or a rowdy band of clubgoers with brass knuckles.
