4 Women Accuse Oscar-Winning Director Paul Haggis of Sexual Misconduct

Four women have accused Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis of sexual misconduct, including alleged instances of rape. According to the Associated Press, three of the women came forward after one accuser filed a civil lawsuit against the Crash director alleging he raped her. Another woman alleged Haggis forced her to perform oral sex and then raped her. A third accuser told the AP that Haggis allegedly attempted to assault her, telling her, “I need to be inside you,” before she managed to escape. And the fourth claimed the Million Dollar Baby screenwriter held her down, forcibly kissed her, and then followed her before she evaded him. “He didn’t rape anybody,” an attorney for the 62-year-old filmmaker said in a statement.
