50 Cent Loses 50 Pounds

Let’s hope the movie title isn’t a portent of things to come for 50 Cent, who has shed his rippled physique for his role as a cancer-stricken football player in the Mario Van Peebles’ film Things Fall Apart. “On a liquid diet and three-hour-a-day treadmill stints, he went from 214 pounds to a sickly 160,” reports Us Weekly. Though not uncommon for actors to lose massive amounts of weight for roles, most only shed extreme weight for major blockbuster releases. According to Entertainment Weekly, “There’s no word yet on if this movie will hit theaters or not.” Currently, 50 is on his national Invitation tour and back in “fighting shape.”
