Activists in Syria said Saturday that more than 50 people were killed in Friday’s violence, including 22 people in the besieged city of Homs, which has been the center of the uprising against President Bashar al-Assad. Syrians in other parts of the country began protesting the regime, saying they were revolting for the sake of Baba Amr.
