A 5.0-magnitude earthquake rattled central Oklahoma on Sunday night, damaging buildings but reportedly causing no injuries. The quake hit just before 8 p.m. and was felt in Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. Authorities in Cushing, about 50 miles northeast of Oklahoma City, said several buildings were damaged but there were no reported injuries. Oklahoma has become an epicenter of earthquakes in recent years, with scientists linking the trend to hydraulic-fracturing practices. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the state has suffered 19 earthquakes in the last week alone.
