After months of reports about concussions, spousal abuse, and controversy over the Redskins’ name, 50 percent of Americans say they don’t want their son to play football, a new Bloomberg Politics poll reports. A total of 44 percent said they would want their son to play, while 7 percent said they were not sure. Democrats were also more likely to oppose participation in the sport, as were women versus men. In addition, 62 percent of those making $100,000 or more and 62 percent of those who were college-educated would oppose their children playing.
