‘50 Shades’ Makes $90 Million

Fifty Shades of Grey is expected to rake in $90.7 million at the U.S. box office over the long Presidents Day weekend. Including the $158 million it made abroad, the film is expected to have a $248.7 million total launch. The BDSM novel-turned-film is the biggest grossing film to open on the weekend of all time and the highest foreign opening for an R-rated movie. One of the surprising findings is that males comprised 32 percent of the audiences in America.
