A 6-year-old boy is dead after being stabbed numerous times Thursday morning in Los Angeles. Officials say the boy’s father has been detained and is the main suspect—one who was covered in blood when police arrived. Police responded to a call just after midnight, and when they arrived they say they found the child with several stab wounds on his upper torso. Despite attempts to save the boy’s life by both deputies and workers at St. Francis Hospital, the boy did not survive.
