Only a month after a 6.5 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Humboldt County, the area was hit by another Thursday, this time registering at a magnitude of 6.0. Although the January quake caused around $12.5 million in structural damages in the city of Eureka, no damages have been reported this time, and a Humboldt County spokesperson said the overall effects were far less severe.
