        Cheney: Powell’s A Republican? Really?

Rush Limbaugh has been on Colin Powell’s case ever since he crossed party lines in pledging his support for Obama. Now, former Vice President Dick Cheney has jumped into the fray, telling Face the Nation’s Bob Schieffer that he was under the impression that Powell was already a Democrat.

        Staffers Planned to Sabotage Edwards

George Stephanopoulos made the news on his own show Sunday, saying that John Edwards’ campaign staffers, who had come to believe rumors of his affair, had concocted a "doomsday" strategy to knock the candidate down if he was close to winning the nomination.

Dalai Lama: Let Bin Laden Air Grievances

The Dalai Lama tells Fareed Zakaria that, had we sat down and spoken with Osama bin Laden and allowed him to discuss his grievances, “things may be different.”

Gingrich Spots ‘Weird Patterns’ of Dems Defending Terrorists

Newt Gingrich let loose on the current administration’s handling of suspected terrorists in an interview with Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, claiming that while George W. Bush was focused on defending America, Barack Obama is defending the enemy.

Pakistani President: Where’s Osama? You Tell Me.

On Meet the Press, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari not only tells David Gregory that he has no idea where Osama bin Laden is hiding—assuming he’s even still alive—but also suggests that the U.S. should have already discovered his whereabouts after eight years.

McCain: There’s No ‘I’ in GOP

Responding the Dick Cheney’s comments that the GOP doesn’t need to become more moderate to avoid extinction, Sen. John McCain says on This Week that there is a place in the party for those with a difference of opinion. Exhibit A: his outspoken daughter.

        Kurtz Savagely Defends Michael Savage

The U.K. recently released a list of 16 individuals banned from entering the country, ranging from Muslim extremists to conservative talk-show host Michael Savage, who called the Quran a "book of hate.” There aren’t many hosts on CNN who would defend the controversial talker, but Reliable Sources’ Howie Kurtz and John King make a case for both freedom of speech and not giving Savage any more attention than he’s already received.
