After twin attacks on Friday, Norway is reeling. National broadcaster NRK has identified the suspect in the terrorist attacks as Anders Behring Breivik, a 32-year-old ethnic Norwegian. Though police did not confirm his name, one official said, “It seems it’s not Islamic-terror related. This seems like a madman’s work.” At least 87 people died in the attacks—seven when a blast ripped through Oslo’s government headquarters, and 80 at a mass shooting at a nearby youth camp. Dozens more were hospitalized. President Obama said of the attacks, “It’s a reminder that the entire international community has a stake in preventing this kind of terror from occurring.”
