Scores are dead in Nigeria after twin car bombs went off in a bustling marketplace in the city of Maiduguri, which is the home of the Islammist extremist group Boko Haram, though the group has not claimed responsibility for the attack. In addition, 39 people were gunned down in a farming village about 30 miles away. Nigeria has been hit by a string of violence recently, including an attack on a boarding school that left over 40 dead.
