With a marred reputation and challenging a 211-game suspension for his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs, New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is now getting chopped out of an animated film about the team. In Henry & Me, Rodriguez played the team’s hero. But no longer. The decision was made by eight or nine investors, who say the controversy will hurt the film’s profitability, even though the cuts will “cost a fortune.” Rodriguez was first cast as a replacement for Hideki Matsui, who left the Yankees in 2010, but the retired player will now return to fill in. The movie will be released next April.
