Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez took questions today from the press for the first time since his prior steroid use was revealed. “I screwed up big time,” he said, and blamed his drug use on his youth. “In some ways I wish I went to college and to grow up at my own pace. When you’re young and stupid you’re young and stupid and I’m very guilty for both those.” When asked whether he said his records should be wiped off the books, he said “that’s not for me to determine,” and he said “it’s hard to say” whether or not the drugs boosted his performance.
