Do you love drinking Scotch? One of the people you should thank for your favorite dram is Tommy Dewar. The pioneering entrepreneur traveled the globe teaching people about whisky and having amazing adventures. (For one he was famous for setting land and sea records.) In the spirit of Tommy, The Daily Beast and Dewar’s brought together six of the country’s top bartenders for a ramble from Louisville to New Orleans. From drinking Scotch in the heart of bourbon country, to transporting cocktails via paddleboards and riding around the French Quarter on motorcycles with Dewar’s barrel sidecars, it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that would have certainly made Tommy proud. Cheers!
