A woman will officiate an NFL playoff game for the first time this Sunday, CNN reports. Sarah Thomas will reportedly serve as a down judge at the American Football Conference divisional playoff game between the Los Angeles Chargers and the New England Patriots next week. Thomas, reportedly a Mississippi native, was also the NFL’s first full-time female official and the first woman to officiate a college football bowl game. She told CNN that while she’s flattered to be considered a “trailblazer,” she is focused on being her best when game time starts. “I've just been doing this truly because I love it,” she said. “The guys don't think of me as a female, they see me as just another official.”
