Janai Norman is no longer co-anchor of ABC’s Good Morning America Weekend, Status reported Wednesday. Norman’s contract had expired, and ABC did not re-up her, people familiar with the matter told the outlet. Norman, 36, interned for ABC in 2011 during college, and in 2016 was hired by the network as a reporter based out of Washington. In 2022, she was named co-anchor of the network’s weekend morning show, which is currently led also by Whit Johnson and Gio Benitez. According to Status, Norman’s last date is unclear, as is whether she will be replaced and if she will remain at ABC. A network spokesperson declined to comment to Status. The Daily Beast has also reached out to ABC for comment. Norman is the host of the television show Oh Baby!, about how animal parents raise their young. The show, which airs on ABC stations, is in its sixth season.

A comedian known for his role on the hit cartoon Bob’s Burgers was hospitalized after he was dragged out of a burning car involved in an accident on Tuesday. Eugene Mirman, 51, was pulled out of his 2026 Lucid Gravity by a state trooper after he struck a toll plaza in Bedford, New Hampshire.
