Eighteen years after Carl Probyn heard his 11-year-old stepdaughter scream as she was abducted on her way to catch the school bus, Jaycee Lee Dugard is believed to have emerged alive. After speaking with police, the FBI, and the woman who walked into a California police station on Wednesday claiming to be Dugard, Probyn and his family are convinced Dugard has returned. Authorities will not provide any information until a press conference at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Though Probyn had no further information on Dugard's life for the past two decades, including who abducted her, he says the FBI told his wife that "they have Jaycee and the people she was with." Records show that the police searched the home of Phillip and Nancy Garrido on Wednesday, and both are in police custody and charged with kidnapping to commit rape, with a bail of $1 million.
