A reported active shooter at near the Rock n' Roll Marathon route in San Diego was “arrested without incident,” according the city's police chief David Nisleit. The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that the woman was apprehended with a pellet gun at a “parking structure near the route” and the incident appears to have been unrelated to the race. Police believe that the woman was related to an earlier hit-and-run case and an alleged kidnapping in Chula Vista–which she is believed to be the assailant in both cases. Police reportedly followed the woman, who matched law enforcement descriptions, into the parking garage and pointed her gun at an officer–prompting police to start firing. The only injury reported was an officer who accidentally shot himself, and the race was closed for 30 minutes.
