Actor John Lithgow will play the late Fox News founder Roger Ailes in an upcoming film about the cast of women who blew the whistle on the culture of sexual harassment at the cable-news network, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Actresses Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman are slated to play former hosts Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson, respectively. Both Kelly and Carlson played roles in unveiling the culture of “toxic male culture” at Fox News, with Carlson filing a sexual-harassment lawsuit against Ailes after he was booted from the network. Margot Robbie is also expected to play a fictional associate producer at the network. Jay Roach will reportedly direct the movie, and Charles Randolph, the writer behind The Big Short, will pen the screenplay, according to Variety.
