Wendell Pierce, the actor from The Wire, was arrested on Saturday morning at a hotel in Atlanta. While police have not released details, they did say in a statement “The incident did not rise to anything significant, so no special notification was made... it was treated like any other arrest a patrol officer conducts. Mr. Pierce made no indication he was famous nor did the officer inquire.” Pierce was booked on a battery charge. According to TMZ, Pierce was arrested for attacking a Bernie Sanders supporter.
