Adam Lambert Accused of Battery in Scuffle with Photographer
After scuffle with paparazzo in Miami Beach.
American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert is now running into issues with the law—the musician is involved in a legal battle with a photographer whom he got into a scuffle with in Miami Beach on Thursday. The paparazzo, according to TMZ, filed a police report accusing Lambert of misdemeanor battery. The photographer claims the singer “grabbed his backpack [where he claims the camera was placed]” and “wrestled [him] to the ground forcefully.” The report notes that he didn’t sustain any “bruises or lacerations.” Detectives will decide whether or not to turn the case over to the state attorney, who will in turn determine if Lambert should be prosecuted. The Idol alum joked about the incident on Thursday via Twitter. He tweeted again on Friday saying, “Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground ... It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime- thats [sic] all I'm guilty of.”
