Singer Adele has canceled her U.S. tour dates due to a vocal-cord hemorrhage, she announced Tuesday. The tour was scheduled to begin Friday, Oct. 7, in Atlantic City, N.J., and continue through Oct. 21 in Gran Prairie, Texas, but she has canceled the entire sold-out run. She recently returned from a successful British tour, and her doctors have diagnosed her with a vocal-cord hemorrhage. The singer said she has “absolutely no choice,” and she worried that if she didn’t spend the next few weeks recuperating, she could damage her voice forever. Adele was forced to cancel part of a North American tour earlier this year due to illness.
