Michael Wolff's career as Editorial Director at Adweek is on the line, sources have told the New York Post. Though Wolff joined the company less than a year ago, having previously been a contributing editor at Vanity Fair, senior execs at Prometheus Global Media, which owns the trade title, have not been happy with Wolff's performance and are debating whether or not to extend his contract past September. The unhappiness stems from Adweek's terrible advertising revenues and rumors that Wolff is careless with company money, sources added. Staffers have also allegedly complained about his lack of grace and blunt management style. A Prometheus spokesperson declined to comment on whether they would renew Wolff's contract. Wolff, who is on vacation, also declined to comment.
