Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry was reportedly rushed to a hospital Saturday night after collapsing backstage following a performance with Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden. Perry, 68, collapsed in his dressing room after performing Walk This Way, Deadline reports. Paramedics reportedly spent more than a half hour tending to him and at one point inserted a tracheal tube down his throat before he was taken to a hospital. The musician had recently announced a new single and solo tour. He suffered a similar scare in 2016 after collapsing backstage following a performance with the Hollywood Vampires. That incident was later chalked up to “dehydration and exhaustion.” No details were immediately available on his condition as of Sunday.
