Affleck's 'The Town' Leads Box Office

Welcome back, Ben Affleck. After a string of box office disappointments, the one-time tabloid magnet is on track for an unexpected first-place finish this weekend, with his new movie The Town taking in over $8 million on Friday. That puts the film, which he directed and also co-stars in with Jon Hamm and Blake Lively, on track for a $25 million weekend. In second place will be the teen comedy Easy A, which was expected to win, but based on Friday’s take will likely gross just under $20 million over the weekend. Devil, produced by Sixth Sense hitmaker M. Night Shyamalan, disappointed in third place with just $4.9 million on Friday.
