Robert Bales, accused of killing 16 villagers, acted with “chilling premeditation,” government prosecutors have said. They are seeking the death penalty for what they say involved two attacks on one bloody evening in March. The three witnesses Saturday testified at the hearing in Washington state via a video link from Kandahar Airfield in Afghanistan.
